The core weakness and instability led to TMJ (temperomandibular joint dysfunction), sciatica, and back/hip/knee pain. Even more frustrating, I was the fitness expert but all the traditional exercises and methods I tried caused my belly to bulge more. 

This was the beginning of my core journey.

I struggled to fix my core issues over the next 4 years which led to the creation of AB-EZE core training tool. The support of AB-EZE helped me to engage my abdominal muscles in various body positions through all planes of motion. I am so thankful for this amazing tool which continues to be part of my regular fitness regime.

COVID-19 hit in 2020, and I transitioned my training business to online classes to help women stay fit during the quarantine. Thanks to the consistency of our workouts, I turned 50 this past August feeling fit and fabulous! Most recently, I have been exploring gradation of isometric muscle engagement which sparked the idea for the current method I am using to train myself and my clients. What is most exciting is that while this program bridges all my years of education and experience, it is a brand new way of training that is not repackaged information. When I introduce the techniques to women, they are filled with ‘aha’ moments and finally feel they are making friends with their body.

Essentially, your core becomes the responsive powerhouse it was designed to be and you get to live life to the fullest!

Fast forward to 40 when I decided to train for a physique competition and found myself immersed in the familiar gym scene of women spending endless amounts of time, effort, and money on a quest for a body of their dreams while remaining in a continuous state of struggle. As a mother of four young children and fellow woman, I knew all too well the value of time and the struggle I witnessed. That’s when I decided to become a NASM personal trainer so I could help fellow women achieve the results they so desperately wanted. I became the go-to bodybuilding and nutritional coach for women in my area and continued to build my credentials with certifications in spin, pilates, barre, functional movement, and advanced yoga training. My clients experienced great success resulting in a waitlist to secure a spot on my schedule.

During my competition prep, I leaned out to 120 pounds making it difficult to ignore the 3 epigastric hernias poking through my 4 finger width diastasis recti. After placing top three in MuscleMania SuperBody, WBFF Fitness Atlantic, and WBFF Montreal masters bikini division, I opted for surgery to avoid future hernias from pushing through the muscle separation. I realized this was major, invasive surgery but thought I'd recover no problem considering my physical conditioning and education. 


The challenges women deal with today are the same ones talked about when I was an 18 year old step aerobics instructor… desire for a smaller belly and the ability to enjoy life without pain or incontinence.

I am an advanced yoga teacher and former owner of the OM Home and Lotus Lounge. I love helping students foster mind-body connection and find alignment on and off their mat. One of my favorite things to do is lead retreats that enhance joy of living.

I am an inventor

I grew up in small town with lots of trees and no traffic lights. My heart belongs to back roads and country music. Walking through the woods is my kinda fun.

I am a country girl

I gave birth to 4 babies in 6 years! It’s true… in 2006, I had four babies aged 5 and under. Still not sure how I managed, and I’m tired just thinking about it.
