Women wear an untucked shirt when not happy with their midsection. So let’s take a look under the covers at what’s going on…
Over the past 30 years of being in the fitness industry, I’ve had the privilege of establishing close relationships with women and studying their physiques. There are three main categories that the female abdomen tends to fall within.
1. No muscle tone throughout the abdominal wall and belly continues to expand year after year no matter how much work you do.
2. Lower abs are pulled in and can be engaged but the middle and upper part of the abdomen protrude. This is common postnatal.
3. Upper part of the ab wall engages and is pulled in while the middle and lower part of the abdomen protrudes. This is common with women who have rounded shoulders and upper spine along with forward head position.
Patterns of muscle activation may be habitual but they are not permanent. Core training regulates muscle innervation which calms overzealous muscles and stimulates dormant muscles so that even sensation of engagement is established at each of the 5 core power points. Training then hones in on sequentially engaging and relaxing the power points coupled with the breath cycle to lock in a proper core response.
Core training is not traditional ‘ab work’ or ‘core exercises’. However, core training will make your traditional ab and core work effective so finally get the results you’ve been chasing.
MISSYCORE is without a doubt my best offering EVER and I am thrilled to join fellow women who get it- who no longer want to battle their bodies and are excited to fall back in love with the miracle they have been gifted.
